The John Ford Highland Pipe Band is a not-for-profit, musical and social group of men and women dedicated to the art of piping and drumming, as well as the maintaining of the Gaelic Heritage. We were founded in 1969 by our former Pipe Major, Mr. Bill Sandbach, and continue to enjoy providing the Saint Louis region with a premier pipes and drum band. A project of our mission is the ongoing support of local charities.

 St. Louis Caledonian

SLCPB is a dynamic new organization with a great history in Saint Louis, Missouri. Several pipers and drummers decided in the summer of 2007 to form a new pipe band, and it merged with Invera'an Pipe Band in November. It's the third name change for Invera'an, which began in 1972 as Meeting of the Waters Pipe Band. Our new name honors the first Saint Louis Caledonian Pipe Band that played sixty years ago. With 35 active members, SLCPB focuses on making the best music possible. The mission of the band is to promote Scottish piping music to the community and to provide musical instruction.

Highland Reign

Traditional Scottish Rock with acoustic and Appalachian undertones!!

Mitzi MacDonald & Keltic Reign

Mitzi says "the neatest thing about Keltic Reign is the evolution of the band.  My kids cut their teeth listening to us play...and now they are playing." And it's true.  The original band started back in 2000,  and her three children took the stage in 2009 to make it more of a family band now. Keltic Reign's music was, and still is a dynamic blend of Irish/Scottish/Canadian East Coast music....all performed with a driving force that keeps crowds interested, with hands clapping along.

 Mother Grove

Mother Grove is fast becoming a force on the Celtic Rock scene.
Energetic & powerful with an on-stage chemistry that makes you feel right at home, Mother Grove   seamlessly blends well crafted original rock songs with traditional Scottish and Irish instruments such as Highland bagpipes, pennywhistle and fiddle to create a sound defined as "KILT ROCK".

With lyrics that can be insightful, witty and often times just plain fun, together with music that ranges from soaring ballads to raucous pub tunes to “rocked-up” traditional songs, there is something for everyone with Mother Grove.

Peat Fire Flame

Peat Fire Flame is a Ceilidh band.  We play music for Scottish country dancing as well as for concerts.   Songs include Scots and Gaelic.  Since 2001 we have played for Burns Dinners, St. Andrew Dinners, highland games, parties, weddings and receptions.

For information or to engage the band, call Diane at 314-773-4195
or email:
dmccspae@sbcglobal.net.

Peat Fire Flame is (from right to left):
Mark Clark, guitar; Diane McCullough, keyboard, vocals; Wayne Elrod, flute, whistles, vocals; Cecily Marx, fiddle.

Wren Song

Wren Song is a Celtic band focusing on traditional Scottish and Irish music.  Gaelic sean-nos style songs and Scottish ballads mingle in their performances, blending voice and bodhran with tinwhistle, harp, bagpipe, fiddle, keyboard, guitar, and mandolin.

These family musicians are intent on drawing you into the mists of time to find connections with the past.

Adele began performing at Missouri Tartan Day in 2006, and soon her brother Leighton, younger sister Ness, and her father Robert joined her.
